Questions, answered plainly.

Do I need a company inside the EU to sell there?

Usually no. Most exporters sell from their own country. But some products need an EU-based Responsible Person, and some setups need an EU EORI or VAT registration. The course shows you which applies to your case.

What is an EU Responsible Person — do I need one?

A person or company inside the EU that holds your product's compliance documents. Consumer products under GPSR need one before they are sold. Module 7 covers who can act as yours and what it costs.

Does every product need CE marking?

No. CE marking applies to product families covered by EU directives — electronics, machinery, toys, PPE and others. Module 6 helps you find your product's route, and what to do when no CE rule applies.

Who pays EU import VAT and customs duty — me or my buyer?

It depends on the delivery term you quote. DDP means you pay and file; DAP shifts it to your buyer. Module 2 makes the choice deliberate, so the cost is in your price before you quote.

How long does the course take, and in what language?

About 40 hours across 15 modules, self-paced. The language is plain English, written for non-native readers — short sentences, every term explained. 中文 is coming.

What happens after my included year of membership?

Renew at $290/yr and your certificate stays current — updates, tools and the registry entry continue. If you lapse, the certificate remains yours, marked with its last verified year. No expiry theater.

My products are steel or aluminium — does this course cover CBAM?

At orientation level: Module 14 explains what the EU carbon border means for your quotes. For the full carbon curriculum — emissions data, verification, the customer pack — CBAM.School's dedicated courses go deep.

Can my company pay, and can I get an invoice?
